SAGE ADVICE

Sage Advice from Snow Coot~ Take it and Leave it

We're about Possible Solutions here; about looking for ADVICE.
That gives everyone else a chance to offer ADVICE.

Several differences here that might make our process more palatable:
You need to Solicit our Advice.
You may Offer your Advice as candidly as you feel necessary to make your point.
It is all as Anonymous as you want it to be.

Suggestion~ Run up the old Trial Balloon. Then consider the input you receive.

JOUSTING WITH WIND MILLS

Snow Coot's Agenda~ The Wind Mill
I propose we recuit people who will consider certain
aspects of daily life with a mind to 'Write a Letter'

The Way It Could Happen
We form a Group of Charter Members interested in:
1~ Documenting a Good Situation or a Bad Situation ;
2~ Formulating a Solution where necessary;
3~ Developing a Letter either of Kudos or Protest;
4~ Developing a list of Members who will send the letter or not as each individual sees fit ;
5~ Encouraging others to contribute, to assist in each particular ;
6~ Providing a forum of self-interest a bit beyond the Individual ;

It's all Non-Profit, Free, and totally Private. No personal information will be requested.As of now I'm calling it Snow Coot's Wind Mill

VETERAN'S DAY

Veteran's Day:
I'm not a Veteran; In this case I want to make a disclaimer~
I wanted to enter the Military, I tried several branches, but it didn't happen. I have always Supported Our Troops.

I have a problem with this aspect of Veteran's Day:
The Maintenance man visited our place on Veteran's Day. In the course of our conversation he indicated he shouldn't even be working. It was Veterans Day, and he was a Veteran. He wasn't bitter or angry. He just made the comment to me as a friend.

But I found myself incredulous and eventually angry. What's wrong with that scene?
Government Employees, have the day off. Even non-Veterans. Banks, Local Governments, and Public Buildings are closed. But our guy, and many like him, had to work. Just another day as usual? I take issue with that.

Every Veteran should receive a token of our appreciation every single Veteran's Day. I was in the process of writing a letter to the President when I realized how futile that would be.

So, I'm soliciting comments here. I need advice on how to proceed most effectively.
